Seven-Eleven Turns a Netflix Food Show Into Two Korean-Inspired Instant Meals

Two products inspired by K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie arrive nationwide on October 6.

Seven-Eleven Japan is bringing two Korean dishes featured on the Netflix food and travel show K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie (Tonari no Kuni no Gourmet) to its shelves.

Starting October 6, 2026, the chain will sell a samgyetang-inspired ramen gukbap and bibim noodles with roasted buckwheat flour at stores nationwide. Both were developed under the supervision of restaurants featured on the show.

Samgyetang, Ramen and Rice in One Cup

Samgyetang Ramen Gukbap

The Samgyetang Ramen Gukbap (¥375.84 including tax) was supervised by Sansong Daega, a Korean restaurant that has been recognized by the Blue Ribbon Survey for eight consecutive years.

The dish combines ramen with the flavors of samgyetang, the Korean chicken and ginseng soup. A separate aromatic oil made with Korean ginseng extract adds fragrance, while nurungji — Korean scorched rice — is included among the toppings. After eating the noodles, the remaining soup can be enjoyed as gukbap with rice.

Bibim Noodles With a Nutty Edge

Bibim Noodles with Roasted Buckwheat Flour

The Bibim Noodles with Roasted Buckwheat Flour (¥375.84 including tax) were supervised by Seoryeong, a popular Korean restaurant recognized as a Bib Gourmand in the 2025 and 2026 editions of the Michelin Guide Seoul & Busan.

The noodles are paired with a gochujang-based sauce combining several fruits for a balance of heat and sweetness. Korean-style sesame oil, pressed after the seeds are deeply roasted at high temperature, adds a strong toasted aroma.

K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie

K-Foodie Meets J-Foodie follows Korean food personality and singer Sung Si-kyung as he travels through Japan and South Korea with Japanese guests in search of notable places to eat. The Netflix series has featured actors including Yutaka Matsushige and Ayaka Miyoshi.

Both Seven-Eleven products go on sale nationwide from October 6, 2026, while supplies last.
