Hello Kitty Is Coming Back to Lawson, Wrapped in a Marion Crepe
Three plush charms return on October 16, 2026, with strawberry, chocolate and mint designs from the crepe shop celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Hello Kitty’s latest outfit is a crepe wrapper. After a popular debut in April 2026, three plush charms from the Marion Crepes collaboration will return to Lawson on October 16, 2026.
The Marion Crepes × HELLO KITTY Plush Charm BOOK series (マリオンクレープ × HELLO KITTY ぬいぐるみチャームBOOK) offers three designs at ¥3,498 each, including tax.
In Strawberry Special, Kitty wears a strawberry bow. Strawberry Chocolate Chocolat features a tanned Kitty surrounded by chocolate and white chocolate details. Chocolate Mint Cookie combines mint green and brown.
The charms reproduce Marion Crepes’ familiar red gingham wrappers in fabric. Each measures approximately 14.5 centimeters tall, 9 centimeters wide and 4.5 centimeters thick, with a ball chain for attaching it to a bag.
The October 16, 2026, release date applies to the Tokyo metropolitan area. Arrival dates and availability vary by region and store.
Marion Crepes: From France to Harajuku

The idea for Marion Crepes took shape after its founder, Iwao Kishi, returned from seven years in France. He had moved there after university on the recommendation of a literary author. What stayed with him was the memory of crepes.
In 1976, Kishi opened his first shop in a corner of a parking lot on Shibuya’s Koen-dori street. Crepes served in paper wrappers offered something unfamiliar: a taste of France that customers could carry down the street. Newspapers and magazines took notice.
A second shop opened on Harajuku’s Takeshita Street in 1977, before the neighborhood’s kawaii culture blossomed. It remains at the same address today.
As Harajuku’s youth culture grew, the menu evolved. The early crepes, finished with a splash of liquor, made room for whipped cream and ice cream. Marion Crepes helped shape the colorful, generously filled crepes that became a fixture of the neighborhood.
The company celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026. The publication accompanying the charms looks back at its history, including the changing uniforms worn behind the counter.
